6/15/2008:
Wow, almost 4 months have gone by without any news of Care Bears! But now there is tons of news....

• Licensing: In January of 2009, licensing and production will switch from PlayAlong Toys to Hasbro. Hasbro is the company that originally bought out Kenner Toys in 1991, so hopefully this will mean more of the traditional bears and cousins. The Bears will be part of Hasbro's Playskool line. Production is to start Fall of 2009 and will be styled after the new cartoon and includes plush, play sets, games, puzzles and figures, as well as introducing new categories. Strawberry Shortcake will also be a part of this licensing move.

• Movie: A new CGI movie is scheduled for theatrical release in August of 2009. DVD release will immediately follow.
• Products: A new Pink Power Breast Cancer Awareness Care Bear, which will be available at Target this fall. One dollar from the sale of each bear will be donated to breast cancer research.
• TV: Season 1 of the AiCaL series will air in Australia, New Zeland, South Africa, Middle East, Germany and France for the 2008-2009 season.
• TV: Season 2 of the AiCaL series will begin in the USA in September 2008.
• DVD Release: Care-a-Lot Collection-3 Disc Set (August 2008)
• DVD Release: Holiday Collection-3 Disc Set (October 2008)
• DVD Release: Care Bears TV on DVD Vol 1 and Vol. 2 (February 2009, May 2009)
• MiniSite: http://www.iheartcarebears.com/ Aimed towards teens.
• MiniSite: http://care-bearsbaby.com For the infant & toddler merchandise.
• International: Live Shows in Australia, Singapore and Indonesia, Fall 2008.
• International: Specialty Program aimed at teens will launch in Japan in the Spring of 2008.
• International: Oysho, a Spanish retailer, is launching a teen apparel and accessories program in 22 countries and 307 stores.

2/23/2008:
The 2008 Toy Fair Pictures are up! Items to be released this fall include:

• Poseables: True Heart & Bedtime, Tenderheart & Harmony
• 13 Inch Plush: Heartsong, Hopeful Heart, Super Star, Sweet Dreams and True Heart.
• 10 Inch/Beanies: Play A Lot, Shine Bright
• "Heart of Gold" Tenderheart in both white and brown colors, featuring gold accents.

1/26/08:
Lots of new bears are hitting the shelves.

• Valentine's Day Bears are out at Target (Grumpy, Share, Love A Lot, Cheer)
• Fluffy Bears are out at Target (Special Edition Series 3; True Heart, Grumpy, Funshine, Love A Lot, Share, Oopsy)

12/21/07:
Coming February 5, 2008 to DVD, Grizzle-y Adventures. All new dvd containing "Broken" and "Emma's Dilemma". DVD will retail for approx. $15 and run for 47 minutes.
